The Parish Council are pleased to announce a job vacancy for Parish Lengthsman. (more details can be found on the Parish website)

Hours: 6 hours per week (over 47 weeks to allow for 5 weeks leave per year). Hours are flexible, weather and daylight dependent

Salary: £15.00 per hour

Duties include but not limited to:

• Litter picking & general tidying

• Inspection, cleaning and minor maintenance of street furniture, including parish benches, bins, phone boxes, entrance signs, street name plates, salt-grit bins

• Ensure bottle banks are clear of broken glass

• Cleaning and basic maintenance of bus shelters

• Strimming/Grass Cutting

• Cutting back of overgrown vegetation around street furniture

• Reporting Various Highways Issues to the County Council and fly-tipping to the District Council

• Basic Paperwork • Clearing certain paths of snow

• Monitoring of salt grit levels and salt spreading certain pavements in winter

• Other ad-hoc duties as listed in the full job description
